provide comprehensive first aid at work training courses delivering
effective and professional tuition in the workplace throughout the
UK.


Two Day Certificated Course
This course is designed to give parents and carers of children the confidence to deal with emergencies and is approved by the Paediatric First Aid
Association.
Topics covered on the course include the following:

Responsibilities of a First Aider

Dealing with hazards

Safety of children and First Aider

Diagnosis, priorities of treatment

Use of First Aid equipment

Resuscitation

Child, Infant and Adult CPR

Dealing with choking, asthma, electric shock etc

Recovery position

Management of the unconscious child/baby.

Circulation
-
Treatment of minor cuts and grazes

Hygiene in handling of wounds

Treatment of severe bleeding

Recognition and treatment of shock

Other injuries/conditions including

Head injuries

Trapped fingers

Poisoning

Febrile convulsions

Epilepsy

Topics covered will relate to the time available and the needs of the group. If there are specific requirements for the course you will be running then this First Aid course can be “Tailored” to suit your needs.
At the end of the course all successful delegates will receive a Paediatric First Aid certificate which is valid for three years.
The Paediatric First Aid Association states that delegates must complete the 12 hour course every three years to revalidate the certificate.
