• Use of First Aid equipment
   
• Resuscitation
   
• Child, Infant and Adult CPR
   
• Dealing with choking, asthma, electric shock etc
   
• Recovery position
   
• Management of the unconscious child/baby.
   
• Circulation
   
• Treatment of minor cuts and grazes
   
• Hygiene in handling of wounds
   
• Treatment of severe bleeding
   
• Recognition and treatment of shock
   
• Other injuries/conditions including
   
• Head injuries
   
• Trapped fingers
   
• Poisoning
   
• Febrile convulsions
   
• Epilepsy
   
• Diabetes
   
• Childhood illnesses

Topics covered will relate to the time available and the needs of the group. If there are specific requirements for the course you will be running then this First Aid course can be “Tailored” to suit your needs. 

At the end of the course all successful delegates will receive a Paediatric First Aid certificate which is valid for three years.

The Paediatric First Aid Association states that delegates must complete the 12 hour course every three years to revalidate the certificate.
